JUNE VIRTUAL PROGRAMS

Throughout their careers at St. Mark’s, boys learn these lessons alongside math, English, and history. They are lessons taught not only by classroom teachers but also by athletic coaches. Under the bright lights of Norma and Lamar Hunt Family Stadium or in the waters of the Ralph B. Rogers Natatorium, Marksmen are challenged to become better athletes and better men.

For most students, athletics at St. Mark’s begins with lessons in teamwork and perseverance. Lower Schoolers encourage one another to finish their laps and learn the value of sportsmanship. Later, in the Middle and Upper School, boys find more structure and discipline when they don their Lions athletic gear. Intense competition in daily practices, travel to away games, and the support of fellow classmates provide a healthy environment for boys to learn about themselves and feed their love of competition.

Alumni Leadership Speaker Series: A Conversation with Mark Cuban

Entrepreneur, investor, and owner of the Dallas Mavericks Mark Cuban discussed investing in new business ideas, the NBA landscape, and the future of cryptocurrencies and NFTs. The conversation was moderated by Alumni Association President Paul Genender ’87.

Navigating College Athletics Recruitment

Former NFL and Texas Longhorn linebacker Sam Acho ’07 visited with three Marksmen athletes about navigating the recruitment process during a global pandemic:
  • Kit Colson ’21 (Yale University; Track & Field)
  • Harrison Ingram ’21 (Stanford University; Basketball)
  • Leo Ohannessian ’21 (University of California, Santa Barbara; Water Polo)

THE ST. MARK’S FUND

The St. Mark’s Fund is the School’s philanthropic priority and provides resources for everything across campus including faculty support, program needs, and financial aid. For decades, our alumni have made a difference for our boys and faculty by investing in the St. Mark’s Fund, and the St. Mark’s Fund remains the primary way alumni can make a difference at 10600 Preston Road today. By making a gift to the St. Mark’s Fund before June 30, you can champion this incredible legacy and help develop men of tremendous character who will serve with intelligence, compassion, and integrity.
